| | Last year, Lake Pointe was a satellite location for the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. I had no idea what I was in for (<---and that sentence was pretty much the theme for my first year working at Lake Pointe) when the conference was played live via satellite in the auditorium.
At that time, I couldn't help but hear and see everything in the auditorium from my little office space, so I was hoping that the conference would be easy to ignore.
It wasn't.
That was the best part about it.
While it's aim is to teach people with the spiritual gift of leadership, people who are not overflowing with manifestations of that gift can learn how to recognize good leadership, and so be a better follower, or supporter. I'm still chewing on things I overheard last year.
Lake Pointe is hosting it again this year, on August 7th and 8th. If you've ever considered going, you should definitely go. If you have never considered going, you should consider it.
You should really consider it. Really.
